What is Affidavit of Support Guarantee?
Affidavit support is a letter of containing personal details of sponsor indicating relation with traveler. This document is issued by Philippine Embassy or Consulate in Dubai and in Abu Dhabi.
The affidavit is presented at the airport immigration counter in the Philippines as proof that the traveler is not being trafficked and is entering the UAE legally.
The Affidavit of Support Guarantee is a letter of containing personal details of sponsor indicating relation with traveler which issued by the Philippine embassy or consulate in the Dubai or in Abu Dhabi (UAE).It is a proof that a relative in the country is there to take care who comes from Philippines to Dubai on a new Visit or Tourist Visa.
All Filipino citizens/national has to carry original copy of affidavit support (Red Ribbon) when they are travelling from Philippines to Dubai. Without red ribbon they might be offloaded at the Airport. This is new rule applied effectively Sep 2010 to control human trafficking by Philippines government. To Whom I can Sponsor with Affidavit Support?
With Philippines Embassy/Consulate Affidavit Support you can only sponsor only spouse, parent and grand parent, children, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew and 1st cousin only.
You cannot sponsor second cousin or friend however they can use package from other countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand or wherever Philippines Citizen get visa on arrival.
